The Unity Code - Where Science Meets Energy, Consciousness, and Spirit.
Welcome to The Unity Code — a podcast where science meets the unseen and magic becomes measurable.
Hosted by Nicole Pope, a former corporate executive who once dismissed intuition, now a Spiritual Transformation Coach and evidential medium who blends logic with the language of energy. Here, we go beyond “believing” — we experiment, decode, and apply the energetic truths that bridge quantum science, consciousness, and spirit into practical tools for transformation.
Each episode explores the edges of what’s known — from mediumship, frequency, and energy work to psychic phenomena, Akashic Records, and galactic consciousness — grounding it all in the real-world application of spiritual technology.
This isn’t theory. It’s embodied research. Together, as a Unity Collective, we test energetic experiments, bridge scientific insight to intuitive practice, and uncover how consciousness actually creates reality.
Because science is magic made real — and you’re the proof.

Get Your Human Out of the Way: The Truth About Intuition & Mediumship
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
If you’re a spiritual practitioner—or learning to trust your intuition—this is the shift you need:
get your human out of the way.
In this episode, I break down why fear, perfectionism, and your nervous system responses are the biggest blocks in intuitive work, mediumship, and spiritual readings.
Because here’s the truth:
it’s not that you’re not connected…
it’s that your human keeps interfering.
We talk about:
- why fear of being wrong blocks intuitive messages
- how your nervous system and ego show up in readings
- the pressure to be perfect, liked, or “get it right”
- why you’re not responsible for the message—spirit is
- how clients are guided to you for a reason (not by accident)
- and why trying to “soften” or control the message actually weakens your work
Whether you’re practicing tarot, mediumship, Akashic Records, or just learning to trust your intuition, this episode will completely shift how you show up.
Because your job isn’t to be perfect.
Your job is to be the clearest channel.

layful Opening And Big Claim
SPEAKER_01It's a lovely spirit-led episode here on the Unity Code today. Hey there, I'm Nicole. How are you doing today? Hey, I hope you're having a wonderful day. Yeah, this is the energy of this episode today. Um, spirit has fixed my vibration to this fun, playful energy. We're gonna, I'm I'm excited for this one. I'm really excited for this one. I am here to talk about how you need to get your human out of the fucking way if you are a practitioner or even if you're practicing, whether you're doing any of those modalities for fun, tarot, spirit guide, stuff like doesn't even fucking matter. Intuition, fantastic. Love it. You got to get your human out of the way. And for the sake of most of this episode, please note that human is generally your nervous system, but it's not always. It kind of is. Some of this might be self-protection, some of this might be uh wounds of wanting to be a perfectionist and or wanting to be everything to everyone. That's that's in this too. But the reality is that three times in three separate classes over the past week, I've had to tell people to get their human out of the fucking way. So let's talk about this. Let's break this fucking down. And this is at all experience levels, by the way, brand newbies to all the way to very seasoned practitioners in mediumship professional space. Because I think I think we have a lot of us have a lot of things going on, right? And I think that when we show up within the umbrella of spirit, again, in whatever modality best suits you, sometimes it can be really hard delivering some of the messages that we are supposed to deliver. And so let me rewind a second here. And there's a bigger picture about this, but I'm gonna let spirit kind of bring me down the path that I need to for this episode. Because a very long time ago, in my world, and probably yours as well, you started getting interested in the world of spirit and the metaphysical, right? At some point, it probably piqued your interest enough to maybe get a reading or two, right? The experience may have been good or bad, but you felt that intuitive tug to continue your journey with spirit. Continue to trust and believe that there's something bigger out there, something more amazing out there, some sort of beautiful insight out there that you were trying to grasp by going to practitioners or doing your own guided meditations or going to sound baths, right? Because as humans, our quest for knowledge is boundless. Like we are always thirsty for more information. Cue to take a sip of that water, by the way, if you have one next to you. Coffee's fine too. Tea, great. Energy drink. All right, I'll allow it. And so in this amazing journey of yours, you felt the tug to move continuously towards spirit enough that you are now listening to a spiritual podcast by somebody who was on a very similar journey and felt that tug and kept going with it too. And along the way, have you had shitty readings? Have you seen shitty practitioners? Have you gone to someone that you thought was amazing? And then at one point you realized what they said did not come true at all. Yeah? Oh, me too. Me too, sweetie. Me too. We've all been there. Did it stop us in our journey at all to continue to proceed forward? Fuck no. Fuck no. Because once you know that there is truth to the connection of spirit, that becomes your anchor to move forward, doesn't it? That becomes the endless supply of spirit that you are continuously moving towards is this desire for truth, this desire for knowledge, the knowing that this is a very difficult thing for a lot of practitioners and that we don't get it right all the time, but you're willing to deal with the not getting it right because you know that there's such value in this work. So much so that look at all the freaking charlatans out there, and people still go to them all the time. And so I want you to reflect back on your journey about whether spiritual practitioners who have not met your expectations andor not delivered a completely accurate message? Did it stop you in your journey? No? Me neither. And so, for you practitioners out there, how important was this thought exercise? How important was this journey to remember your own and how you persevered through all of the obstacles, all of the shitty readings, all of the shitty teachers to get you where you are today? Now, this isn't meant to be like a really detrimental thing, a very sad story at all. But the reality is that bad practitioners don't stop the people who are meant for this work. Likewise, if you give one shitty reading, you are not gonna stop the people who are meant to do and be in this work. So we as practitioners need to get the fear out of our readings that come from our human. And that fear can look very different for a lot of people because fear can be associated with, again, accuracy of readings. Did I get everything right? Fear can be associated with the quality of the reading. Was it as comprehensive and as deep as I wanted to give it? I'm gonna say that's what she said in every single episode, aren't I? That fear can be related to I'm not the right practitioner for them. They came for something else and I didn't give them what they wanted. I gave them something different. I gave them a different modality. They wanted mediumship and spirit guide stepped in. Oh shit, was I supposed to give that reading? That fear goes to the words that you specifically used in the readings because words are tough as shit. And sometimes you're gonna say something and the client's not gonna understand it, or they're gonna take a totally different meaning of the same word, and it happens. Did I say the right words that I was supposed to say? And then we get into the other side of fear. Did they like me? Did my client like me? Do they think that I'm a good person? I know it's ridiculous, some of you, but it's true.
SPEAKER_00Some of us want to be our client's best friend. Some of my clients are pretty fucking awesome. I want to be their best friend.
SPEAKER_01Can I say that? Is that okay to say? That's okay to say. I fucking love my clients. Right? Am I what they expected?
SPEAKER_00And then there's countless.
ulnerability And Not Watering Down
pirit Chooses The Client And Message
ic Drop Takeaways And Closing
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I'm thinking about all of the other fears that we as practitioners face, wondering why us? Why, why are they coming to us? And honest to God, even as somebody who does this work this long, who knows how fucking talented I am, I'm very humble too, by the way. Um, I still have the moments where I question why the clients are coming my way. Like, can I be honest with all of you? And like, that's not to say I don't do a fucking stellar job, but I'm open to the reality that I'm not the best there is out there. Now hold on to that thought if you're thinking the same thing. Don't judge me by what I just said. Please don't. I don't care if you do. You can if you want. Um, but I want you to think about yourself and what I just said. Are you is that resonating with you too? Because I've had to get out, get over this. Like I've had to get over all of these fears when working with clients or partners or practice practitioners, right? Like when you're in this space, it is a very vulnerable space to be in. This is a very vulnerable job. I can't think, not even a stripper, by the way, I can't think of another job that is more vulnerable than this work. Because we just show up exactly as we are. Good day, bad day, doesn't matter. And we show up to literally put our entire self aside and allow spirit to channel through us. When I say how vulnerable this work is, I don't like I don't even I gotta turn my heat off. I'm sweating now. I can't even those of you that do the work, you know. Like, you know how vulnerable this work is. I'm gonna try to put it into words for maybe those of you that don't actively read for people or you haven't had this opportunity yet, if this is something that you want to do. Because you are meeting people at usually their deepest, dark, darkest points a lot of the time. You're meeting people who are deep deep in grief and sadness, right? And you are showing up trying to be a professional while holding their energy, while holding their grief, while holding their sadness, allowing them to see feel seen and validated, and also at the same time getting your fucking human out of the way so that you can channel spirit in the most clear vessel that you can, which can look very different than what your human would have channeled, than how your human would have approached this. Because the world, the ways of the world, the ways of our society, of our cultural norms is very different than the way of spirit. And again, this depends on the spiritual team. There's variations. You all know that. Maybe you don't, but I've had dead people come through in readings that were complete assholes, that I've had to swear at sisters and say, What the fuck are you doing with your life? And I'm like, oh my God. And I have to like pause and be like, I am so sorry. My human is so sorry that just came out of my mouth. But this is how the message is coming in from spirit. And, you know, I hope you've all had a chance to listen to the episode a little while ago with Deb DeSell about the grief-informed and trauma-informed mediumship, because I think it is very important. But also there's part of me that wants to stay very true to the language and message of spirit because I'm not gonna pretend I know better than someone who knows all and sees all. I'm not gonna pretend to water down a message because it makes my human uncomfortable when the message needs to come from spirit. And I'm not pulling shitty spirit, right? Like I'm not pulling low vibrational entities. I'm pulling departed loved ones, I'm pulling spirit guides, I'm pulling Akashic records, I'm pulling people that absolutely love my clients unconditionally and want the absolute best and highest vibration and healing for my clients. So I am not gonna pretend that my fucking human stuck in this body knows better than them. And yet, my human doesn't like that. My nervous system fucking hates that. Because again, how I would approach and say it is very different than how spirit would approach and say things. But I always have to remind myself, I am just the messenger. I am just the messenger, everybody. Whether I like it or not, you don't pay to chat with me. I'm so sorry, you don't generally. Uh, you pay to chat with your Department Loved ones, you pay to chat with your spirit guides. And as the channel, that's what I do. That's what I do for you. And so, to my amazing students that I've had all week, for anyone that is a practitioner or practicing in this work, your job is not to water down the message. Your job is not to make your clients feel better. I'm so sorry. Loving clients, it's not. My job is to be the clearest vessel I can for spirit to deliver the messages that need to be delivered, whether my human likes those messages or not. So you need to get your human out of the way. Do you see how important that message is? Do you do you even understand how important that message is? The reading is not about us and our ego. The reading is about the client and what they need. And if that is not enough to make you think about the different perspective about how you need to get your human out of the way, I want to remind you that we are not in control. We are not in control of the work we do. We are not in control of the messages that we receive from client, the signs and symbols. We're not even responsible for what clears we receive the information in. We are not responsible for anything that is relayed from spirit through our energy to our clients. It's not our message. Nor are we responsible for the clients that have landed in front of us. Are we? Do you guys go out and like go to the local supermarket or Walmart or wherever you are and like go like go down the tissue aisle because you know you're gonna find the the people who are grieving and that or the sick ones, you know, the ones that need healing in the tissue aisle, right? Do you or like the cold medication aisle? Do you go down those aisles looking for women who look really sad or men who look really sad? And you're like, oh dear, I'm a healer. Let me heal you. Do you do you go stand outside funeral homes? God, I hope I hope Rachel, the good witch of the northeast, is listening to this. Do you put your card in the in the bathrooms of the funeral homes being like, call me when you want to talk to them again? Do you do that? Do you see that we are not responsible for the clients that come to us? Okay, there's definitely a proximity thing, like your friend family friends, your close loved ones, right? And their friends are are probably gonna be closer proximity to you. So yeah, they're gonna be more likely to go to you. But as a practitioner, there comes a point where you're like, I don't know where the fuck these people come from. It's like the number one thing I ask in my readings is how did you find me? How did you find me? Because I don't know how people find me anymore. The algorithms are shit, and I don't email anybody, right? And so don't you trust, don't you trust that these people have found their way to you for a reason? When you found your practitioners that we talked about at the beginning of this episode, how did you find them? Did you research them? Did you do phone a friend, word of mouth? Did you see if there was an energetic connection? Did you feel like this was the right person for you? Because that's exactly what your fucking clients are doing for you. And so don't you think for a hot second that you have any say in the clients that are coming to you and the messages that are relayed through you? Because spirit set all of that up. Spirit set all of that up. You are the exact medicine that they need at that time. Whether you're having a good day or a bad day, whether you have um just completed your first Akashic Records course and it's your first Akashic Records reading, and you're brand new to it, you are still the exact fucking Akashic Records medicine that person needs at that time. Don't think there's an accident and that the wrong people were sent by your way, because I guarantee you spirit will tell you upside down, sideways, every way imaginable, how you were perfect for them at that time. And what I have learned is sometimes the shitty readings I give people, not my fault. It's because spirit wanted them to have a shitty reading. It's because spirit said, you need to do this work better. You need to trust yourself. We already gave you the message. We're not sending the message through her. You need to trust us. And so there's a function in trusting every reading, every client serves the purpose it is meant to serve. No more, no less. Get your fucking human and your ego out of the way of spirit because you came here to serve. Boom. That's my mic drop. How do you feel about that one? How you like them apples? Little Boston coming out. Not really. I don't really have a Boston accent. But doesn't that just change your whole fucking perspective on your work, on who you're paired with? That's why I let the Zoom gods do their things in all my circles. It's up to the Zoom gods. The Zoom gods tell me who to put together, and it they've never failed me once. So, hey, trust you. Trust the process, trust spirit, and go go go get them. Go give them your all, everybody. All right, sending you all the love. Get your human out of the way. Take care.
