The Unity Code - Where Science Meets Energy, Consciousness, and Spirit.
Welcome to The Unity Code — a podcast where science meets the unseen and magic becomes measurable.
Hosted by Nicole Pope, a former corporate executive who once dismissed intuition, now a Spiritual Transformation Coach and evidential medium who blends logic with the language of energy. Here, we go beyond “believing” — we experiment, decode, and apply the energetic truths that bridge quantum science, consciousness, and spirit into practical tools for transformation.
Each episode explores the edges of what’s known — from mediumship, frequency, and energy work to psychic phenomena, Akashic Records, and galactic consciousness — grounding it all in the real-world application of spiritual technology.
This isn’t theory. It’s embodied research. Together, as a Unity Collective, we test energetic experiments, bridge scientific insight to intuitive practice, and uncover how consciousness actually creates reality.
Because science is magic made real — and you’re the proof.

A Light in Every House: Finding Your Role in the Spiritual Awakening
In this episode of The Unity Code, Nicole shares a raw, spirit-led conversation sparked by an unexpected moment inside her Circle — one that turned into a two-hour exploration of what it really means to walk a spiritual path in today’s world.
From staying “in the spiritual closet” to questioning visibility, success, and leadership in the metaphysical space, this episode is a permission slip for anyone wondering:
- Do I have to go public to be spiritual?
- Do I have to quit my job or turn this into a business?
- What if my path looks nothing like the people I admire?
Nicole explores the idea that we are not all meant to be on stages or television — that many of us are meant to be a light in our own homes, families, workplaces, and communities, quietly changing systems from the inside out.
This episode dismantles the myth of a “right way” to be spiritual and invites you to:
- Release comparison and hierarchy in the metaphysical world
- Trust the uniqueness of your story, timing, and role
- Stop waiting to know the destination before you begin
- Give yourself permission to explore, experiment, and evolve
Whether spirituality is a private practice, a side passion, a curiosity, or a calling you’re just beginning to listen to, this conversation reminds you of one essential truth:
There are no wrong steps — and the world needs you exactly as you are.

Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the Unity Code. Today's episode was prompted by a discussion on Monday night with my circle women, where we went completely off the rails, not talking at all about spiritual assessments, which was what I had planned. But as always, Spirit has other plans for all of us. And as soon as I joined that call on Monday night, it was amazing because I got this feeling that we needed to talk. And so I asked, who needs to talk tonight? And the first woman raised her hand and then it snowballed into a two-hour discussion, one of which was this idea of what our spiritual paths look like as practitioners, as participators in this space. And it started with one of the women talking about how she has not come out of the metaphysical closet yet, locally in her area. Now she uses her online platforms quite a bit, and she's an amazing, amazing soul. You know who you are. I love you, girl. And what is so interesting to me is that she has purposely, you know, been incarnated in the middle of the Bible belt, where she is not able to express wholly who she is to the community around her. And I respect that and I understand that. And for those of you that are in a similar boat, kudos. That is such a hard, difficult role to play when you are really spiritual and embracing the beauty and magic that is spirit and yet feeling so alone and isolated in that journey. Because those of us that, I mean, me up here in Catholic Christian New England, it's lonely up here too. But the more that I open up to myself, the more that I see there's people in the community that are open to this. And you know, Salem's not too far away. So there are a lot of different religions and beliefs up here. But also I live in a very diverse area. And so for me to come out of the spiritual closet up here in my community felt difficult and heavy enough as it was. Never mind living in the Bible belt. Never mind being a leader in a community where people know you and look up to you and your business, you know, has your name and face on it. And do you feel safe sharing that side of you when you know your literal livelihood is at risk? And it's it was a very interesting conversation, needless to say. And we could certainly go down that rabbit hole. But instead, I want to shift gears to more so talk about what is our role in this metaphysical space? Because we have these amazing leaders out there. And yes, I'm gonna call Teresa Caputo an amazing leader. Okay, I said it. I'm gonna talk about Tyler Henry and his ability to have his, you know, picture in in um his story out there in his series that are, you know, I think it's over on Netflix. And the fact that he talks about his struggles, his difficulties, because the live show is something amazing unto itself. But also at the same time, he really put himself out there in the seasons about how difficult it was growing up, right? You talked about his mom, his personal relationships too. Um, and then we have the OG mediums, right? Sylvia Brown. Oh no, she's she's something else, isn't she? We have John Edwards, right? And all of these other mediums that really paved the way for someone like me.
SPEAKER_00:And for someone like me that wants to be the best.
SPEAKER_01:Don't worry, I'm gonna talk about you in a moment. For someone like me that wants to be the best at what I do, that wants to be the top of the food chain, the best of the best, that has this, and it's not even perfectionism. I don't think it is because I just I want to make such a profound impact on the world. And so I, in my energy and my bones, I know that I will stop at nothing to be the best of the best at what I do. And yet, when I look at these leaders in the space, doesn't it feel so unattainable? Which, by the way, is mind-blowing. It's mind-blowing because you've heard me butcher Teresa Caputo in previous podcast episodes. Not that she's a bad medium by any means, but but what I have had the very interesting perspective on that was plopped into me is that just because they are the most seen professionals in the metaphysical space, just because they have the pedestal and the TV and the shows, does not mean that they are the best quality mediums. They are probably the most entertaining, the most interesting mediums, but they're not necessarily the best mediums. And so, from a corporate perspective, coming from that world, that's a really tough pill to swallow. And that's very ironic. I just said that because I have worked with C-suite members across my career. And there are not many that I would, I would like or trust or want to know personally. There's a handful that are fucking amazing people, but they've done the work. They came up through the ranks, they started in the contact center. Life wasn't handed to them. They they value and appreciate their journey and they recognize others who are in their journey to go to their destinations. Those are the leaders that I have left jobs for. I have moved to new organizations. I have I have bent over backwards working night and weekends for because those were the leaders I truly respected, not necessarily the ones who were handed their job. I digress. But isn't it really interesting that feeling of wanting to be the best, looking at what you think is the best and having that entire reality almost crash down on you? And then what lays on the floor are all these failed expectations, which was probably the problem to begin with, about the reality of where I thought I wanted to go in this work. And this is this is coming from somebody who has been interviewed for TV shows. And at the time I was so excited about it. And now I'm like, oh, I don't know. If it's a good fit, it's a good fit. But my spirit team told me no TV shows until I build my business. It should be the fun thing I do on the side, not the main main driver of my business. Point, point, receive spirit. And so as we're talking about what should my metaphysical path look like, I mean, I've just given you two examples of somebody who doesn't feel comfortable coming out of the spiritual closet based on her current location in the community that she's in. And also I'm talking about me who wants to climb and ascend to every level possible to maximize the impact. And so we're at two very different ends of the spectrum. And then I'm not, you know, like, I don't know where I'm gonna go. That's up to spirit and that's up to my soul and my alignment. However, then you have people like Teresa Kaputo and Tyler Henry, who are friend center. Um and so in conversing about this topic Monday night with the circle, it was just a really interesting conversation because, like everything else, I can take it and apply it to knowledge I've already collected over the years. Because as we think about the Teresa Kaputo's and the Tyler Henries, I mean, they were kind of there, especially um Sylvia Brown, they were the early adopters in the space. I'm not gonna mention the Fox sisters. I'm not, because they were charlatans. I said it. If you know, you know. But they are the early adopters in the space.
SPEAKER_00:They needed to exist before I could think that this was possible.
SPEAKER_01:They had to face the uphill battle of proving this stuff is real, proving it's right, always dealing with the naysayers, so that I could just come into the space and say, I'm not here to prove it to you. And I respect and adore the journey that they were on, and I I have so much love and appreciation for that uphill battle that they were willing to fight. And so the rest of us, and I'm gonna say this I realize there's a lot of nuance to what I say, and I could very easily disagree with some of the words that are gonna come out of my mouth because I think, you know, this is my understanding at a point in time, at this current moment in time, but I think there's a lot of us who are meant to infiltrate. And the way that spirit shows that to me is this feeling of loneliness that I talked about with my with my um circle woman here. What spirit shows me let me ask them why I'm hesitating getting this out. I've said it before, that's why I want like I'm hesitating because I've said this before, and it shouldn't be new for you. But let me just refresh your memory because what spirit shows me is a candle in every window. So, I mean, we're going Boston, everybody. We're doing, we're doing like the one, one candle by one if by land, two of Bisy. Um, we are one by land, everybody. So we are meant to be lights in every single house. This is the current need of the collective, is a whole bunch of people that do this work, a whole bunch of us that have been plopped in the middle of toxic families, toxic situations, right? And we grow up as, for me, the black sheep, feeling alone, feeling disconnected, feeling like my reality is so different than everybody else's reality. I'm so broken. And then I find this work and I realize how much it lights me up and how much it changes me, and how much it changes my relationship with my husband and it really changes the way that I'm gonna parent and raise my children. And so I'm changing the trajectory of my life and the generations that are coming after me. And also I'm changing it for the rest of my family, too. I'm changing it for my in-laws' family. So when I talk about a light in every house, that is by design, by God, by goddess, by source, to have the maximum amount of impact so that we have a whole collective of light workers literally changing systems from the inside out. Now, the key is finding each other. The key is not feeling so alone and so isolated in this work. Because if you are coming at this by yourself and you don't have a community and you don't have someone to talk to, someone to validate your experiences, someone to help you shine your light brighter, then our lights go out. Then we think we're crazy. Then we don't take these paths, and we don't change us, and we don't change the trajectory of ourselves, and we don't change the trajectory of the people around us in the generations to come. And so having a light in every house was by design. And that's why I think there's these different roles that we have within this work, and I think it looks different for everybody.
SPEAKER_00:But it all is serving not only yourself, it is serving the collective.
SPEAKER_01:And so this is a question that I've struggled with, a question that I know my clients have struggled with. Certainly, my students in a lot of my beginner level classes is what do you do with this? Like, what do you do with learning mediumship when you don't want to quit your job and you don't want to do this full-time? Like, what do you do when you want to chat with your guides or you want to maybe learn Reiki and open up your own Reiki business? Maybe you do want to do a side hustle. And I think that's the beautiful thing is that there's no set path for anyone in this work. I think our souls have an idea of, you know, where we're gonna go with this. And obviously, being in the journey, you don't always know what the destination is. But the key is not necessarily the destination and knowing where it's going. The key is following the passion enough to start. Following that light, that joy, that curiosity to embrace this new. I'm gonna call it a hobby. Can I call it a hobby? Because I think that's the easiest way to talk about this. Because I think that people start photography, right? People start knitting and crocheting. People start, I don't know, coding video games. I don't know. And so to me, the spiritual space, I am perfectly okay calling this a hobby for people, calling this a personal area of interest, because Lord knows that our everyday lives are filled with things that fill our heart, fill our body needs, right? Working out, eating nutritiously, drinking enough water. Um, we know our minds are already working overload because we are in a male-dominated society. And so as people move away from the structures of formal religion, where are they finding that deep-seated desire? And how are they serving that in their soul? And so I don't care what it takes to get people to start seeing the bigger picture, start feeling that there is more out there that we can't see. I don't care what starts you on this path, but I care that if this is something that interests you, give it a fucking try. Like light it up. And I'm probably preaching to the choir here because if you're listening to this podcast, you have opted in, you have given it a try. But I'm just saying if you're still feeling more, if you're still not satiated by just listening to podcasts, maybe take a class. Right? Ding, I just got the thumbs up as I'm recording this on my QuickTime on my MacBook. Um, so whoever is hesitating to like sign up for a class, you don't need to know what the destination is. You don't. All that matters is that you start on the journey and the destination will reveal itself to you step by step by step. And what I think is so beautiful about this work is you can take this as much as you want. You can keep it for you. You can just take the classes, you can practice, you can learn the tarot, right? Like you can um just go tiptoe in a little bit here and just keep this for you and your perspective and your intuition and your guidance and learning how to listen more to that inner voice that you have. I think that's beautiful. You can join circles if you want to get more in-depth and start doing some practice readings for other people and don't you don't have to take it any further than that. You can start charging for readings or doing donation-based readings on TikTok for fun and building a community that way. Or, you know, you can you can start doing this as a full-time job long term, because the reality is, don't we all know how much of a need there is out there? Let me state it in case you question it every day. There is so much of a need for spirituality, especially as people move away from formal religion. There are so many people that are so lost, so confused, so um sidetracked by life and what it always throws at us. We are so stuck in the low vibration of the current world that we need lights across this globe to help people remember the bigger picture.
SPEAKER_00:Period.
SPEAKER_01:And as my spirit team who cracks me up, God, they don't give me any serious downloads ever. When I was questioning whether this would be a wonderful path for me or whether it'd be a financially stable path for me, you may recall they showed me toilets and they say we're always gonna need plumbers. They're always gonna need plumbers. Doesn't matter how many plumbers are out there, we're always gonna need more. Is anyone sitting there waiting to get like a plumber in the house? Because you can't even fucking hire find them enough to hire them anymore. There's always gonna be a need for plumbers, so there's always gonna be a need for this work and who you are, especially the uniqueness of you. There are no accidents because your unique you is the exact thing that someone else needs. Somebody needs to hear that I did not, I was not raised seeing spirit. I did not see spirit as a little girl. I went through 36 years, totally clueless to the fact that I could do this. I left my career in corporate, right? I I did this because my kids could see spirit. And so there's something unique about my story that appeals to a certain demographic of people who need to find me. And I totally understand that and I trust that. And your story might be different. Maybe you did see spirit as a kid. Maybe you just got into this because this was a fun passion. Maybe you had a huge dark night of the soul with a passing of a close loved one or a spouse or a child, or maybe a major illness. Doesn't fucking matter because whoever you are meant to serve in this space, whether it's you, whether it's volunteering or donating or doing free readings for others or doing this full time, whoever you are supposed to serve is going to align with you and your vibration. And it doesn't matter if your path looks the same or different than anyone else because it's uniquely your path. And so I don't know why we all go into this work looking at everybody else and what everybody else is doing. Have you noticed that? Have you have you noticed? Do you feel that too? I feel that. I I Get that. And I think that we forget that it's okay to innovate. It's okay to do things differently. It's okay to just show up and do things the way that you want to do it. Because I think a lot of these, I'm finding a lot of these spiritual modalities, dare I say, were created by men. Dare I say that? No, no judgment to my men out there, by the way. I love you all. But I just signed up for a witch class. I did that. I signed up for a witch class. Did I say that? I don't know if I said that already. Um, and we were going over the history of witchcraft. Do you know where they started? They started with, I can't remember the guy's name, so apologies. Obviously, I was more gobsmacked by the fact that this was created. The modern neo-witchcraft was created in like the 1920s or 30s by a dude who then handed it down to another dude who reinvented it. And so, like, how fucking wild is that? Meanwhile, at the very end of the class, they highlighted, and those of you that are already shaking your heads, you know this is where it's going. What was created in like the middle of Eastern Europe, which immigrated over to and transformed into, you know, Celtic druidry um witchcraft, like over in the UK and the British Isles and everything like that. And, you know, that was all about mainly shamanic, all about nature, all about, you know, using herbs and spices and um calling in the elements, right? And so, like, and yet we judge modern witchcraft by what one guy stood up. This is I know, I now understand why I won't call myself a witch because it's bullshit. Sorry if you're you call yourself a witch. But that that history that I just heard, I'm like, oh, I knew there was something there. That was my intuition telling me there's something up with witchcraft and why it doesn't suit me because it labels things. It tells you there's a right way to do things. I have I have fucking manuals, right, on how to do this. And I know not everybody buys into that. And I I loved that because that was part of the class too, is how there's solitary witches and eclectic witches that do your own thing. You are my people. You are why I think witchcraft is so cool. But I don't wouldn't subscribe to the version that says you have to do things a certain way. Of course I wouldn't. Have you met me, everybody? If not, we should we should get together. And so that's what I'm talking about is I want you to create your own way. I want you to fucking come in here and break the system. Can we do it together? Can we like anarchy the shit out of spirituality? Can we do things that no one ever thought was possible? Can we do things differently and better and reinvent shit, please? Can can we all do that? Can we, as a light in every house, realize that there's no one right way to do any of this work? It's so funny because right now, the time it is January 14th, 1.14 at 4.14. Lots of fives, lots of ones, lots of fours, lots of beginnings, lots of foundation, lots of change. And so I'm gonna challenge all of you to really think open about your role in this spiritual awakening. It can be as big or as little as you want it to be. You don't even have to know the destination, just start walking towards your passion. That's all I'm asking you to do. I don't know why we put so much pressure on ourselves to do things the right way, to follow the right path, to hesitate doing things. Because what will people think? And where am I gonna go? And I'm just telling you, don't even worry about it. Because what's meant for you will feel good and you'll want to follow that path. And there's no wrong step. There's no wrong, like I am 100% certain of that. There are no wrong steps because every step we take is a choice, and every choice that may be in direct alignment with our best path, or maybe not in direct alignment with our best path, doesn't matter because we all learn from every step that we take, and there are no accidents.
SPEAKER_00:And so I'm gonna challenge all of you to think about taking a step forward.
SPEAKER_01:Taking the next exciting path or step that feels right to you at this time. And maybe that means stepping back, and that's fine too. I'm just asking you, leading with you, to give yourself permission to try it.
SPEAKER_00:The world needs you.
SPEAKER_01:I need you. Your future friends, clients that you haven't met yet need you. And so if this is really fucking by the way, future you needs you. Um, let's just go there for a second. Future you needs you. I have never seen anyone go into this space and not learn a ton about themselves and free themselves from all these invisible chains we wear every single day. It is such an empowering fucking journey. So that's my challenge to all of you. I am so excited. Thank you so much for being here on my path in my incredible journey that I don't know where is going, but I can feel it's big, I can feel the vibration, it's huge. And who knows, maybe I'll get that TV show yet, but it'll be because it's the best thing for me and my alignment and my joy, and not because I think that that's the best place to be and that's the top of the ladder. And that is a very different goal, no, isn't it? All right. I'm gonna end it here. I'm sending you all the love. And from my heart to yours, enjoy this fucking spiritual journey. It's incredible. Love you. Goodbye.
