Oh, everyone, welcome back to empower your soul. I just got off my last business mentoring call that I have been in this program for a year with my business coach and I just literally hung up our last group coaching call through my blazer off. I did have one on today. It's symbolic, of course, because spirit was like put that on today and immediately. As soon as I put oh my gosh, the downloads are coming through. As soon as I logged off of Zoom, the jacket came off and here I am in, like my workout outfit that I'm wearing today, and I just want to talk about my experience working with a business coach over the past year. This is going to be real, this is going to be raw. I'm going to give you what was amazing, maybe what was not so amazing and what I'm walking away with after spending a lot of money with an amazing human being, an amazing coach, an amazing community that I'm so, so grateful for, and it really has transformed who I am and how I show up for this business. So let's talk about it, everybody. Let's talk about it.

Speaker 1:

So a little bit of background about me again, a little refresher in case you haven't heard it yet but I am actually a business major. Okay, so I went to business school. I majored in IT, I minored in communications. I have been working in corporate America helping very large organizations stand up processes, stand up organizations, helping them streamline, helping them scale, helping them become profitable, making lives of employees easier by making things just easier for everybody to do, taking out waste and processes. So working in businesses is nothing new to me at all. Oh and, by the way, in case you didn't know, I was building websites when I was 10 years old on my prodigy network. That was a. That was a network that you would log into, dial up back in the day, working on my family's computer that we bought in 1993 and creating like websites on AngelFire. So in case you're wondering like about me and how I come into this business, I am proud that I can do most of the things that myself. I come from a background of being a problem solver, so knowing what the problems are is never an issue for me. Knowing how to solve them might be a whole other ballgame, but I'm always willing to do the hard work, roll up my sleeves and do whatever needs to get done.

Speaker 1:

Now shifting to talking about my metaphysical business, my business that you're hearing me talk about all the time on here. I knew that I needed a sustainable income in order for me to stay in this business, to keep my business open, and this is probably childhood trauma. Everybody this is probably me, coming from a masculine business school and a corporate background. But I know as soon as I lose my financial base, my intuition goes out the window and I revert into ego panic mode. So I knew that I needed somebody who could help me navigate the beginning stages of my business, as I've stood it up, as I start to learn how to market, how to do email marketing, how to do social media marketing, how to create packages on my website right, like all of these different things, because these were all Greek to me. Figuring out how to redesign the quarterly financial processes of private equity no fucking problem. Learning how to market a small business that talks to the dead fucking clueless right, and it's just really interesting because I think I could have figured it out. I think I could have skipped having a business coach, because I am that type of person that will eventually research and find the right answer. But what I'm talking about is all logic-based things, right, and instead I just wanted to find the fastest path, the easiest path let's be honest the silver bullet that allowed me to move as quickly as possible towards financial stability. And I knew that would come at a literal price of this very expensive business coach, and I was willing to pay that price so that I could be on my fastest track possible.

Speaker 1:

Now I will tell you, the decision to sign up for a very expensive business coach was not easy. It was not an easy path Because as soon as she told me what the price was 100% I literally like hung up the phone and I told my team no fucking way, no fucking way am I affording this? And so they were like you're gonna make your money back by what you learn from her. Literally every month, you're going to be able to look at your income statement and know that she paid for herself, and I'm like that's fucking fantastic. I need the money before I sign up. And so they were not happy with me, but they did end up finding me the money, which I am very appreciative of, and as soon as they found that money and sent it my way, I said okay, I will sign up for my business coach. I know my team. I don't know how my team does it, but they do. I don't know how they do it, but they do.

Speaker 1:

So I ended up signing up with this business coach and I found out about her through the grapevine, through some of my friends who also used her as a business coach and had, you know, great things to say about her, and I love that so much. And so we really started the 12 months really talking about like me and what my business goals are, and kind of assessing current state, which is something that I'm used to. So let's go through. You know, what are my service offerings, what are my skill sets, what, what should I be doing with this? And I literally remember telling her I will do whatever it takes to become financially stable. I just need somebody to point me in that direction. And so her, being the business coach that she was, she used my skill sets, my expertise, my background, and she kind of looked, looked at it and she said, well, I think this would be a really great service offering for you. And I see you setting up coaching packages Fantastic, great. I'm like lovely. So we work on those, I create those packages, we work like right. And so I'm following what she's kind of describing as the path ahead for financial stability. Now I set up I'm going to be totally fucking honest with all of you.

Speaker 1:

I set up programs and packages before I was ready to, before I felt confident in it. We adjusted the pricing to a level that I was not comfortable with, obviously had some work to do there, and at the same time, I was always willing to give it a shot and see how it went, and my ego was freaking out, but my business was rocking right, like she really showed me the way and pushed me in a way that really allowed me to see my potential. Well, actually, let me rephrase that she saw the potential in me and told me to do it, even though I had doubts. And she was right and it was successful. And people were paying for me at a higher rate and people were signing up for these new service offerings, and so it did work right, and so a lot of the year kind of went like that.

Speaker 1:

It was like, hey, this is going on, this is going well, this is not going well, what do you think? And she would say well, what you know? Why don't you try this? I would have a mental breakdown about trying it because I didn't feel confident or I didn't feel like it was the best path for me, and she would talk me up as the best cheerleader in the world and turn me back around and send me out and I would prove and shoot, like what she was coaching me on proved to me over and over again that it was the right step, right. And so, when I think about working with this business coach, it was just really interesting, because there's nothing that my spirit team is telling me to choose my words carefully here. There's nothing that I gave her that I didn't already know about myself.

Speaker 1:

However, she was able to reflect back the best parts of me, the most aligned, successful, amazing parts of me, call out my potential and push me towards that potential and, at the same time, tell me that she could do it. I mean, that's, that's ultimately what we worked on for an entire year, over and over and over again, because, as we would change things in my business, I would freak out, she'd cheerlead me and I'd continue to change things in my business, and it's and it's such an, I think, a normal thing to go through this experience with a business coach, because I really, really walked in, admitting this now with a roadmap like with, with the desire for her to give me exactly what I needed in a roadmap to be successful for financial stability. But a lot of it came back to me and what I wanted to do and what I was willing to do, and my own personal beliefs and limitations on what I thought was possible. And so 90% of the work we've done over the past year is her talking me off the ledge. Her reminding me of my worth. Her reminding me that I am the differentiator, reminding me of my worth. Her reminding me that I am the differentiator, not my product. Her reminding me that I am capable of anything. And even I hired a hype woman for a year, everybody with some really great key market insight.

Speaker 1:

But really a lot of the coaching for my business came down to coaching for me, so that I could believe it myself, so that I could be in alignment with my best self, so that when I'm in alignment with my best self, excuse me, I put out things out there that people want, that people are willing to see, that people want to invest in in terms of working with me. And isn't that totally not what you would expect a business coach to be? Because to me that sounds like a personal coach, right? Because you know, when you're an entrepreneur, your business is your, is your personal life Sorry, you can't separate that and so it really was an incredible experience. I want to say, did you note the hint of sarcasm? But I don't think there was one.

Speaker 1:

I like, I don't know why, I feel, I don't know why I want to shit on this experience, like and I think this is me and my ego coming out and being a little nervous the fact that I literally spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in business school and worked in a corporate career for 20 years, and I'm telling you that I don't know how to do marketing, right, I don't know how to sell myself in terms of my business and my social media, right, and I and it's just so funny because I think what others see in you, you tend to minimize or not see yourself and really this business coach experience gave me the confidence in me, in my abilities, in my alignment and in my unique uniqueness, like I want to say unique service offering. But it's not, it's me, I'm the unique service offering that allowed me to just fully embrace my journey, my path, my business and just literally lay it on the table and say here we go. If it's for you, great, and if it's not for you, that's totally fine. It's not an ego hit for me. I will send you somewhere where I might think it might be in better alignment for you.

Speaker 1:

And so this year with my business coach had a lot less to do with my business than I ever expected and had a lot more to do with building the foundation of inner trust, of inner confidence, of unshakability within me in reflecting in my business that allows me to show up as my best self. Reflecting in my business. That allows me to show up as my best self and find abundance in my business every day, even if the money is not coming in the door. Find a business, find abundance in my personal life and the fact that I'm able to balance this right. And it's less about the financial abundance and it's more about bringing my whole self to my business and trusting that this is exactly what I'm supposed to do.

Speaker 1:

So so, as I'm saying this out loud, the energy feels really weird to me. So I'm going to ask my team what's going on, because I really feel like my guides stepping in to help channel some of this information here. So I'm just going to pause for a second and just check in with them, because it wasn't just a journey with my business coach, right, and it was so interesting because about halfway through the year, about six months into this cycle of me shitting on myself and my business coach lifting me back up and changing my service offerings God, I can't even tell you how many times I've changed my service offerings on my website, the word, the copies on my website, etc. It's way too much. First of all, I'll never tell you how many times because I can't count that high I'm going to break, I can't.

Speaker 1:

But about halfway through the year, when my energy shifted and again I talked about the past six months, the great undoing, and that the very beginning of the great undoing, like right, right, right, the week before everything went to shit this year for me and I had to undo all of this, all these patterns, these thoughts, beliefs that don't serve me. Right before that, I remember sitting with my business coach in February and I was like it's all gonna work out. I and I've said this to a mentee, at least one mentee of mine there's a difference between knowing you're going to be successful in your head and like logically looking at the numbers and thinking about it and being like, yeah, I know I'm going to be successful because the numbers on paper are there. I'm getting from readings, other people telling me how successful I'm going to be, a spirit's telling me I'm going to be great and you're like you're hearing it from all these direction but you're not feeling it. And then in February of this year I felt it.

Speaker 1:

It wasn't just a knowing, it was a feeling in my body, in my bones, that I know this is meant for me. I know this is the path I'm supposed to be. I know that I'm supposed to be doing mediumship and I'm supposed to be doing channeling and group coaching and helping people become their best selves. That's literally I know my path. And it went from knowing to feeling that in my bones and then it all went to shit. So the past six months has just been me bitching a lot, got to be honest with you to my business coach. But it was so interesting because knowing, feeling the way I felt in February, going through the great undoing where it felt like my entire life changed, it felt like a tower moment, felt like everything was taken, put in a paint, can shaken up right and then dumped back onto the table with all the pieces now looking totally different than they would did before, all of the the picture looking totally different than what I expected it to look.

Speaker 1:

And literally in the past two weeks, knowing that my coaching was up in a several weeks, knowing that I need to launch this new program that goes live tomorrow, knowing all of these things and literally having a fucking come to Jesus moment with my team and God and Jesus and literally everybody, and I'm like show me the way. Literally, show me the way. I've asked my business coach to show me the way. It's not working the way that I thought it was she. She did make me feel really successful, but it still felt out of alignment and she was giving me great advice, but it still felt out of alignment and I would take it and I'm willing to try anything once. So I would try it and it would work for a little while and then it would go out of alignment again.

Speaker 1:

And then me having this big come to Jesus moment with my team and being like, if I am meant for this which I'm 99.9% sure that I am I'm ready, show me the way. And I remember doing this when I was at the Suzanne Geisman weekend at Omega and I remember sitting in the little tiny dorm room in this cot covered in plastic and I could reach out and touch all the walls around me and I'm just like, if this is meant for me, show me. And that's when it all clicked. That is literally when it all clicked and they want me to talk about. When it all clicked and this was in August everybody.

Speaker 1:

It clicked in the sense that I was stopping thinking about all these things and what was my path and where's my destination, what I'm supposed to be doing and what about this and what about this, which is what I was been doing with my business coaches analyzing the shit out of my business and instead spirit just coming in and being like do this, do this, do this, in this order. This is what you're supposed to be doing right now. And so I literally have decided in the last month of this business coaching to leave it up to my team and I'm like, whatever you say, I will do. Whatever intuitive hits you give me, I will march towards. And that is what I have been doing in the past month and I can tell you, in the past month, my whole business has changed Like and I talked about it previously my entire business has changed. Everything that I have done because my team has done it or I have felt the intuitive hit come through to do it has been in perfect alignment with who I am and where I'm going. So much so that again in the past two weeks I have totally redesigned my website again.

Speaker 1:

I went back to the original version of my service offerings before my business coach, right where I would have everything kind of gobbled into one globbed, into one service offering. I now have separated out the modalities, added healing, because my team has been telling me to add healing for years. I don't fucking want to do that. And they're like you're adding it. I'm like, ok, I'm adding healing. So if you're looking for Reiki or IET or shamanic services from me, hop out there. For Reiki or IET or shamanic services from me, hop out there. I have changed everything back to the way that I had it originally and now added the extension of the programs that I know I'm launching.

Speaker 1:

And so it's just so interesting because, as I'm in there with my incredible business coach, who you will never catch me say a bad word about, what has been so interesting is that she's really fucking good at what she does and she's really fucking amazing at knowing amazing statistics. Like did you know it takes? I think it's 17 or 19,. The number has changed. Recently she said 17 times for you to sell to somebody who's never heard of you, they have to hear about you from you 17 times before they recognize that you even exist and like start to consider buying from you.

Speaker 1:

Right, it's statistics like this. Like people see some somewhere in the realm of 15,000 advertisements per day. So think about that. When you're posting on social media everybody and you're like buy my book, right, sign up for my class. So sorry if you think that I hound you, but that's the reality is that 15,000 ads a day is what we are exposed to. That number, growing up, was like six, 700. When I went to business school it was like 600 or 700. Now it's 14,000. Right, and so like, yeah, no wonder nobody has attention spans anymore. No wonder nobody can like you can't fucking cold call and sell to people anymore. It doesn't work.

Speaker 1:

So she has these amazing statistics and she has this very business oriented view, which is why I signed up with her on marketing and copy and how to sell and how to do offers and what like, how to structure your year, because she is a very structured coach. And so when I walked into her coaching program for a year, she gave me exactly what I asked for, exactly what I was expecting, but only until I started listening to my own alignment, to my own team creating programs that they were like, just stand it up, see what happens. And I'm like, okay, I'll just stand it up and see what happens. That is when the true alignment came out and that is when the true predictable revenue started showing up at my doorstep. And that is why I will continue to just listen to my team when they say create this program in three weeks? Okay, no problem, you told me I'll do it. And that's why now they're starting to give me, hopefully longer term programs that are like, okay, you want to get this rolled out by the beginning of the year, you want to do this, you want to do this.

Speaker 1:

And now what I was so blind to and what I was expecting my business coach to show me to and what I was expecting my business coach to show me, they're two completely different things, because my business coach again, I love her was so good at dealing with my mental state in the moment, my service offerings in the moment, thinking about you know the next, like three, six months out, and like, hey, this is exactly what you could be doing. This is what you should be doing, based on the market, based on the timing, based on the data, based on what's going on. These are your most likely scenarios. And she has done such a great job creating the structure and analyzing it and giving the data and, like old me, fucking loved it.

Speaker 1:

But now, as I work with my team, I see that I don't need all the answers. I don't need to know the exact path. I relinquish control on what I want to do because I know that they know my final destination and who I want to be, where am I going, what do I want to become, and they know the best path for me to get there and find my people in the most efficient way. So can you see how this has been like a complete 180 in terms of me having this perspective about business coaching, because I think, if you are in, I do think. If you are not, what's the way? I want to say this and not sound like being a coal. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

I think there is such value to business coaches. I do, I like I, I 100% do, because I think that for a lot of people, that's exactly what they need, that's the exact structure they need. They need the people that have the methodology, that are more logic, logic focused, brain focused, because they feel safer in that structure, in that ability, and I think that for a lot of businesses, her way works. I really do think that, but I but also I can see such a benefit to working with spirit as business coaches instead, and allowing spirit to literally be like this is out of alignment. It's not going to work. This is going to be your next big path and like and how they see the bigger picture of me and my soul and my journey and they're able to give me more targeted advice and feedback. Yeah, and will ultimately help me get there faster, but less hustle, less effort needed right, less trial and error and leaning into them.

Speaker 1:

And my intuition and my feeling about my business truly has been I can't even tell you the biggest fucking game changer of my life, like it has been the biggest game changer of my life and like I always knew this in the back of my mind. It probably sounds ridiculous to hear me talk about this, because I come from this business background, right, and so for me, of course, I'm going to come at business from a business perspective because that's my background, because that's what I know. I know logic, I know data, I know reason. I know I know logic, I know data, I know reason, I know marketing. I know you know all these different things, right, and so I have been running my business like I know how to run business and working with coaches who know business.

Speaker 1:

But until I finally let it go, I finally relinquished control to my team and said I'm going to trust you more than my, said I'm going to trust you more than my logic. I'm going to trust you more than my ego. I'm going to trust you more than the marketing experts and the people that are experts in small business and growth in the, in the, in the, my amazing business coach that knows her shit inside and out and and who has like podcasts and guests and like she's, and she's such a good businesswoman and she's built her business from scratch, right. But shifting from that to trusting my team over all of that and trusting their guidance and direction. Above all of it, I can never go back, and so I feel like not only has this been the great undoing in the last six months in terms of my you know personal life, my oh God, my beliefs, my patterns, my limit, you know, all of these things that I needed to undo in my personal life, part of the limiting belief was that I have to oh, what's the right word? I have to grow my business in the way that other businesses grow, in the way that experts have deemed businesses grow and scale in the way that other people have been successful in growing their own businesses.

Speaker 1:

And literally stepping out of that box and saying, fuck that, because I'm literally hearing that in my head, I'm hearing, fuck that there's an easier and better and more aligned way to do it, because what I'm doing they're showing me is stepping into the divine, feminine, stepping into doing business in a way that resonates with my vibration, my soul, my journey, which is going to be 10 times more impactful and reactive than doing it in a structured way. That works for most, but it's not the highest and best alignment for me Now. Will both paths work? Yes, absolutely. They will both work right, and probably there's some level of the combination of the two at some point, that is going to be really, really beneficial for your business.

Speaker 1:

Because, until you can let your ego aside, you're going to have to follow the traditional business route because you're going to need the data and the systems and structures to make you feel safe in that environment to start even getting your foot out the door, even start showing your face on social media, because you're going to need to calm your nervous system down. And until you can 100% just trust, on fucking blind faith, that your team has what's best for you and knows what's best for you, that's when you're going to make the leap and not worry about best practices. That's when you're going to take the leap and trust your team and not worry about my social media engagement. Right, you're going to trust that they're going to put you in the right places at the right time with the right service offerings that allow you to reach your destination and live the best life. Because the motto of spirit is always giving you what you want or better what you want or better what you want or better. Ding, ding, my deadbell's slacking. Those are my messages.

Speaker 1:

So I really want you to think differently, maybe about business coaches, maybe about all these things, because spirit has our back for literally everything. Spirit has our back for personal growth, for development, for our business, for our families, right, like they are the full fucking package that allows us to live our life in highest alignment with our soul's vibration and desires and wishes. And so I think me going through this process of having this business coach, which I would pay for again, because this experience of working with her has given me the foundation again of confidence, of trust, of knowing exactly what is on my path and what is not on my path, and being I'm going to say it absolutely un-fucking-forgivable if things aren't aligned and saying like I don't know if you saw how fat those of you in Sacred Roots like I shut that thing down in a day. I was just like that's not aligned for me anymore. I can feel the energy change. I can feel that people don't need it. The program is still out there for free. It's not free on my website yet, I got to figure that out but it's still out there. The people that are in it. I was like, just take it, just go with it and take it. And now I'm going to shift to a new program because I can feel the energy has changed, the alignment has changed and there was purpose to me, setting up Sacred Roots. The people who needed it needed it and again, I've already said this last week, but now I'm just shifting and going with the flow and letting spirit lead me through the quagmire that is the world.

Speaker 1:

And even though there's a lot of things going on and, particularly for business owners, it's a little bleak out there economically right now, you know going into a you know supposed recession and everything like that I don't even worry about it Because I know I'm here to serve spirit. I know that I'm here to help them, help you, and so I'm just trusting that, whatever comes next in my journey, my soul has planned this is part of my destiny, this is part of my path, and so my entire year spent with my business coach has culminated to me, elevating to the next level of abundance through understanding that my team has my back and they will not let me fail. So, yeah, that is my really roundabout way of saying that I don't think people need business coaches. I think you need spiritual coaches that know business. And isn't that fucking wild? Spirit first, spirit live, spirit first, first everybody, even in your business.

Speaker 1:

Um, I will say, based on that, that feeling of alignment and what I feel like I need to do, I did release a business intuition session. So if you don't want the traditional business coach but you want somebody who knows business and can chat with spirit, like I'm just like I'm telling you right now, I do have that service offering out there.
